Hot Water Update and Project Spectrum

The gas was off. Dave turned the gas back on and the water is currently heating. We still need to seriously think about a new water heater but at least we have a functioning one for now.

The funny thing is one of the first things I thought of when I realized we did not have hot water was "How will I felt?" I want to felt something yellow for Project Spectrum.

Yes my priorities are out of line.

In other news E and I had a ball taking pictures of orange and yellow things around the house today. Here is a collage of what we found today.

My orange and yellow yarn stash is quite small and rather limited. Yes that's all of it.

At twelve o'clock we have a gifted skein of Carron acrylic in peach.

3:00 a bit of Wool of the Andes in daffodil leftover from the Christmas 2005 Potholder Gift Extravaganza.

6:00 a skein of salmonish Homespun left over from a Marry Poppin's hat and scarf set I knitted for a Mom's Club buddy.

9:00 the remains of Bernat acrylic in Gold from Multiple Gryffindor scarves and my sister's Harry Potter Kitty.

In the center we have the remains of the Lorna's Laces Shepherd's Sock in Safari from the Jaywalkers.

That's it for orange and yellow. Now that I'm on a self imposed yarn diet I'm thinking of things to do for Project Spectrum with what I have. I'm still thinking something felted for the tiny bit of Wool of the Andes. The Bernat might make a fun little stuffed toy of some sort. I think I'm going to keep the Lorna's Laces with my other leftover sock yarn for a future sock yarn project.

We shall see.

Yeah I’m having issues with April too – I’m not usually an orange/yellow person so my orange/yellow stash is very limited… I’m interested to see what you come up with!

We just don't look good in orange or yellow so we don't have orange and yellow clothing. Hence not having much orange and yellow yarn.

I'm interested to see what I come up with too. :-)
