100 Days and Counting
My little pregnancy countdown ticker is at 100 days today. Lot's to do in the next three months.
I've followed the Christmas Countdown and Flylady's Holiday Control Journal in the past.
The Christmas Countdown was a HUGE help the year E was born. It totally helped me get ready for the holidays and more importantly E's arrival.
This year I'm bringing out the big gun, the Holiday Grand Plan. Christmas Countdown is six weeks starting in late October. The Holiday Grand Plan is 18 weeks starting in late August. This will be the first year for the Holiday Grand Plan for our family. I'm looking at it as focused Nesting.
These holiday organizational systems can work. I find them very similar to using a day planner. You have to in the words of the Franklin/Covey people 'spend quality time' with the plan/ner. You get back what you put into the plan.
In knitting news I'm nearly done with the ball band dishcloth, just need to bind off. Crumpets continues to bore.
I'm struggling with coming to terms to the fact that I'm probably not going to be able to pull off a slew of handknitted Christmas gifts this year. I really don't want to drive myself nuts knitting gifts. It's still early enough that I could possibly knit up some items, but I'm cautious.
In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my little cotton dishcloth and spend some quality time with my Holiday Grand Plan papers.

I've been trying to get a leg up on the Christmas season much earlier this year because of the pregnancy. THe Christmas planing sites you mention I had never heard of before! They look quite helpful.
Thanks for the links!
The Darth Vader costume from last year was adorable!
