One Ball band dishcloth done. One begun.
Finally finished the ball band dishcloth, only to immediately cast on it's opposite. I like knitting with the Sugar and Cream yarn. It's nice when inexpensive yarn is not gross.
Still little progress on Crumpets.
In non knitting news...
It's never to early to start thinking about Halloween costumes. E and I decided that she is going to be a Pirate for Halloween this year. I like to 'build' her costumes on store bought clothing that she can wear later in the season. Here are two past costumes just for fun.
Here is E as the Dust Puppy from the online comic User Friendly. The black turtleneck and pants are Old Navy. I built the fuzzy vest. It velcros at the shoulders and sides.
Here is last year's costume. E as Darth Vader Lord of the Sith. Black turtleneck and jumper from Old navy. Black tights and boots from Target. Hand knitted helmet and hand sewn cape. The lightsaber was an Episode III mini M&M container with a little red lightsaber top. I printed the chest mechanicals off of starwars.com.
So the plan for the pirate is to buy a little top, some gauchos and some boots that E will be able to wear again. I'll make a little head scarf, vest and maybe a sash. I'm thinking we might need to find a little stuffed parrot for E to carry around.

cute halloween pictures! It's wonderful how creative you're being rather than just going out and buying a plastic costume!
