Yes More Dr Horrible

I know, I know. Enough already.

I made a The Tick/Dr Horrible connection tonight while cleaning up after dinner. My favorite Tick quote is "I"m doing Laundry!" Tick says laundry with such conviction. Look at the laundry, it's epic.

Weak. Yes, but fun and it made cleaning up the dishes a bit more exciting.

I've been mucking around a few Dr Horrible message boards. I've found links, that other people found to what seem to be specific costume pieces for Dr Horrible. As of this morning fans have found pretty much everything but the lab coat. Similar lab coats but not EXACT. It's a Howie style lab coat, the second pic down is close but not exact. I'm thinking Dr Horrible's coat was built for the show or was used in another show. I've read that it looks similar to one on Firefly but I can't confirm.

Who knew welding goggles could be hot? I don't hang with welders so I did not know. Welding gloves come in white? Welding seems pretty dirty work. So is car manufacturing and Honda has their workforce in white. Dave is in grease free IT and it's still hard to keep his Honda uniforms bright white. White chemical boots I can understand. They go with the whole white, clean room vibe.

If you want that next level of costume authenticity how about Dr Horrible's remote control.

I'm curious what Joss and his team come up with next.

In other non knitting news I found this 5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake recipe on Ravelry.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons cake flour(that’s plain flour, not self-raising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips(optional)
a small splash of vanilla essence
1 coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla essence, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

OMG that sounds so good. Just a little cake. Must send this to my cake girlfriend. Might have to try this out at our next playdate. Must test bake first.

In knitting news I am making progress on the Everlasting Fantasy Branching Out Bag. I'm up through one repeat of Branching Out. The cotton is a nice break from the Rambling Rows acrylic. It's been so hot the last few days. Just too hot to be outside in the afternoon.
